The floor plan
Casa Compósito is the place. Each room has someone who looks after it: a studio, a psychology practice, a gallery and the house editions. The rooms open onto one another, and that is where the community forms: people who come to learn, talk, look and take care of themselves through culture.

Imagining with your hands
The studio is where Sofia Dias designs programmes for thinking about the future in practical ways: with cards, prototyping, collage and conversation.
A designer, facilitator and futurist, Sofia was a correspondent for Future Concept Lab in Milan for twelve years and co-directed the postgraduate programme in Coolhunting & Trends Forecasting at LCI Barcelona. At the house she works with teams, schools, families and anyone who wants to train their imagination.
Programmes can run in Portuguese, English, French, Spanish and Italian.
Room 02 · Practice
A place to care
The psychology practice is the quietest room in the house. It hosts consultations, art therapy and support for teams.
It is run by João Soares, a psychologist registered with the Portuguese Order of Psychologists (no. 32519), with a master’s in Social and Organisational Psychology and postgraduate training in Art Therapy and Psychotherapy.

The people thinking the present, in person
The gallery is curated by Sofia Dias and João Soares. It invites contemporary artists and thinkers to share their work in person: exhibitions, talks, readings and open sessions.

What happens in the house can also go home with you. The editions curate content and authors; the gallery curates artists. The two meet in shared projects and curation.

Who makes the house
Sofia Dias and João Soares
They opened Casa Compósito in May 2026 to bring together, in one place, what each of them has done for years: she works in design and futures, he in psychology and art.
Sofia Dias is a designer, facilitator and futurist who runs Sofia Dias Studio. João Soares is a psychologist, art therapist and artist. Together they curate the gallery and welcome whoever walks in, sometimes with a step stool in hand.
